the story
why I built Trips
In December 2023 — I still remember it like it was yesterday — I went on vacation to Tulum, Mexico, with my girlfriend. We had rented a beautiful loft in a stunning resort.
That night, when we arrived late at the Airbnb, we didn't run into a single person. And without knowing it, that's how the whole trip was going to be.
A huge resort… with maybe five people inside. We had almost every amenity to ourselves. It was peaceful, relaxing… but also a bit strange.
That's the moment I started dreaming up Trips.
An app where you can not only create your travel group with your friends, but also meet people who share the same travel style as you.
